Department of Sociology DAV PG College organized a Documentary session under the forum “SAMAJIKI” on dated 18/09/2025  for the students to explore sociological concepts from the documentary which enhance a unique learning experience of the Students of department of sociology, DAV PG College. HoD Dr. Ziyauddin, Prof. Madhu Sisodia, Dr Hasan Bano, Dr Neha Chaudhary, Dr S P Pathak, Mritunjay Pratap Singh and Dr. Satya Prakash Anshu given their valuable remarks on the documentary and their relevance to the Sociology. Students of B.A. Final year , M.A. First year and M.A. Second year actively participated in the documentary Session.

डीएवी पीजी कॉलेज के समाजशास्त्र विभाग के छात्र मंच सामाजिकी फोरम के तत्वावधान में सोमवार को युक्रेन – रूस युद्ध के वैश्विक प्रभाव पर आयोजित वर्चुअल संवाद में छात्रों ने खुलकर विचार रखे। एम.ए समाजशास्त्र की छात्रा रीतिका तिवारी ने कहा कि युद्ध किसी भी समस्या का समाधान नही है। युक्रेन और रूस को शांति प्रक्रिया पर आगे बढ़ना चाहिए, वहीं से मामले का स्थाई समाधान मिल सकेगा। श्वेता गुप्ता ने कहा कि इस युद्ध का बैंकिंग सेक्टर पर व्यापक प्रभाव पड़ रहा है, इसके अलावा सर्विस सेक्टर पर भी इसके प्रभाव प्रत्यक्ष रूप से दिखलाई पड़ रहे है। हरीश यादव ने यूएनओ और नाटो के सन्दर्भ में अमेरिका तथा यूक्रेन के पक्ष पर विचार व्यक्त किया। बी.ए के छात्र आशुतोष त्रिपाठी ने समाजशास्त्री दुर्खीम के व्यक्तिवादी विचारधारा से जोड़ते हुए समाज की महत्ता पर प्रकाश डाला। कीर्तिभद्र ने कहा कि यह युद्ध रूस के वैश्विक प्रभुत्व को स्थापित करने का लड़ा जा रहा है, विश्व में अमेरिकी वर्चस्व को चुनौती देने के लिए रूस ने यूक्रेन को अपना मोहरा बनाया है। दुर्गा मारको ने कहा कि यूक्रेन के स्वार्थ का युद्ध है, यूक्रेन नाटो में शामिल होने की जिद पर अड़ा है जिसका परिणाम यह युद्ध है। इसके अलावा चन्दन, सत्यम पाण्डेय, अविनाश, मो. शानू, किशन कुमार आदि ने भी विचार व्यक्त किया। इससे पूर्व विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ. विक्रमादित्य राय ने छात्र – छात्राओं को युद्ध के समाजशास्त्रीय परिप्रेक्ष्य पर सविस्तार प्रकाश डाल विषय से अवगत कराया। संचालन छात्रा संस्कृति शर्मा ने किया। इस अवसर पर डॉ. मधु सिसौदिया, डॉ. जियाउद्दीन, डॉ. हसन बानो, डॉ.सुषमा मिश्रा, डॉ. नेहा चौधरी सहित बड़ी संख्या में विद्यार्थी ऑनलाइन जुड़े रहे।

“Covid -19 Pandemic: Challenges and Opportunities” an online Discussion Program organized by the Department of Sociology on 27/11/2021 “Around 60 students of UG and PG participated and presented their views.

Quest Sociology for UG students 27/02/2019 Seventy-four students participated. The first round qualified by 12 students; second round was qualified by 8 students. First rank by Vivek Singh BA IV sem, Second rank to Sudhanshu Kaushik BA IInd sem, third rank to Shivam Kumar Dubey BA IInd sem, Consolation prize to Shravan Kumar and Abhinav Kumar both from IInd sem.

Quest Sociology for UG students on    05/04/2018 eighty students participated. first round qualified by 23 students; the second round qualified by 7 students. First rank by Ashutosh Singh BA IV sem, Second rank to Vikas Kumar BA IInd sem, third rank to Shubham Kumar BA IInd sem, Consolation prizes to Prem Kumar and Akash Soni both from IInd sem.
