Foreign Languages

The Certificate and Diploma Courses in Foreign Languages (German & French) offered by D.A.V. P.G. College are designed to equip students with essential linguistic proficiency, effective communication skills, and intercultural understanding in two globally significant languages. These courses provide a strong foundation in German and French, enabling learners to communicate confidently in personal, academic, and professional settings. In today’s rapidly globalizing world, knowledge of foreign languages has become an invaluable asset for higher education, international employment opportunities, tourism, translation, corporate communication, and cultural exchange. Keeping in view the growing global demand for multilingual professionals, D.A.V. P.G. College has introduced these courses from the academic session 2025–26.

The programmes aim to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through a practical and interactive approach. Along with language learning, students will also gain insights into the culture, literature, traditions, and social practices of German- and French-speaking countries.
