The Alumni Meet of D.A.V. P.G. College was successfully organized on the 26th of March, 2025, in the college auditorium. It was a grand and joyous evening
that brought together former students from across various departments, reflecting the strong bond and lasting legacy they continue to share with their alma mater. The event commenced in the evening with a warm welcome extended to all the alumni by the Principal of the College Prof. Mishri Lal, Manger Mr. Ajit Singh, Vice Principal Prof. Sangeeta Jain and Vice Principal Prof. Rahul Sing, IQAC coordinator Dr. Parul Jain. The Convenor Prof. V.N. Dubey welcomed the alumni and Dr. Taru Singh and Dr. Sakshi Chaudhari conducted the programme. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of nostalgia, enthusiasm, and heartfelt camaraderie as old friends reunited and shared fond memories of their college days. The combined alumni meet turned into a vibrant occasion for networking and reflection. Faculty members and current students were also present, engaging with the alumni and exchanging valuable insights about career paths, experiences, and future collaborations. Among the distinguished alumni who graced the occasion were – Manish Pathak, Himesh ji Amar, Apoorv, Simran, Kartikeya, Shubham, Shreeyukta, Anuja, Nikhil, Gyan, Khitesh Virat Sharma and Puja Each of them shared a few words about their journey after college, their memories of D.A.V., and their hopes for the future of the institution.
Their inspiring stories were a source of motivation for the current students and a testament to the academic and cultural values imparted by the college. The
evening concluded with cultural performances, light refreshments, and a vote of thanks by the organizing team. The event successfully fostered a sense of belonging and renewed commitment among the alumni towards contributing to the growth and development of their alma mater. The meet was truly a celebration of the past, a reflection of the present, and a hopeful glance toward the future.
Department of English, DAV PG College, Varanasi organized a one-day lecture on the topic How to Prepare NET/JRF. The Invited speaker was Mr Anubhav
Bhargava, an alumnus of DAV PG College. He completed his UG (2019), and PG (2021) and qualified NET (Dec. 2019) and JRF(June 2020), and currently preparing for Civil Services. The session was coordinated by Dr Bandana Bal Chandnani. Mr Anubhav detailed the students about the papers and the syllabus for NET and JRF. He shared the strategies that he had followed during his preparation. The speaker shared his sources of study and mentioned important texts, useful books and online resources. For the preparation of Paper-I the students are asked to explore free lectures by Unacademy Trainers, Talvir Singh and Navdeep Kaur. He emphasized mock practices. He suggested the students to solve the previous year question papers and to prepare short notes for each chapter. The session was interactive, informative and useful for students preparing for UGC NET / JRF.
Department of English, DAV PG organized two lectures on the topic ‘How to Prepare for JRF, NET & GATE’ on 16th April 2022, from 12:00 P.M. to 1.15 P.M. and 1.30 P.M. to 2.30 P.M. The Google link to the programme was –

The two speakers of the day Mr. Rajit Chakrborty and Mr. Neeraj Kumar, alumni of Department of English, DAV PG College briefed the students about important books, websites, YouTube links, topics,
challenges, obstacles and mental issues. Rajit who qualified GATE in 2020 and NET in 2021 emphasized having an analytical outlook of one’s strengths and weaknesses that help in the long run. He highlighted the difference 
between GATE and UGC-NET. He asked them to devise their own strategies. Mr. Neeraj who qualified GATE and NET twice asked the students to have in-depth knowledge of the prescribed syllabus of BHU from B. A. to M. A. He told about the importance of mock test. Both of them emphasized the significance of voracious and in-depth reading and rereading. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Bandana Bal Chandnani and was organized by the Head, Dr Sangeeta Jain. Dr. Indrajeet Mishra, Dr. Najmul Hasan, Dr. Mahima Singh, Ms. Pooja along with 55 students were present throughout the lectures.
दिनांक 23-09-2022 को रामकृष्ण मिशन के 125वीं वर्षगांठ के उपलक्ष्य में डीएवीपीजी कॉलेज और रामकृष्ण मिशन,पुणे के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में कालेज परिसर में वृहद स्तर पर पुस्तक प्रदर्शनी का सफल आयोजन किया गया। डीएवी एलुमनी एसोसिएशन के बैनर तले किए गए इस आयोजन में रामकृष्ण परमहंस तथा स्वामी विवेकानंद के जीवन दर्शन और वैचारिकी से संबंधित पुस्तकों की प्रदर्शनी
महाविद्यालय परिसर में लगाई गई। बिल्कुल करीने से सजी धजी किताबों की श्रृंखला में योग,धर्म,दर्शन,ज्ञान,साधना तथा विद्यार्थी जीवन एवं युवावस्था की चुनौतियां आदि विषय पर पुस्तकें नवयुवको के आकर्षण के केंद्र में रहीं।कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ स्वामी विवेकानंद की प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण से हुआ। महाविद्यालय के प्रबंधक / सचिव श्री अजीत कुमार सिंह यादव ने माल्यार्पण के साथ इस शानदार कार्यक्रम के लिए एल्युमनी एसोसिएशन की प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा कि पुस्तकें जीवन में परिवर्तन की मूल हैं और हमारा शिक्षण केंद्र इस ज्ञान संवाद की पहल का स्वागत करता है। इस अवसर पर महाविद्यालय के अकादमिक सलाहकार डॉ पी के सेन ने पुस्तक प्रदर्शनी में शामिल सभी पुरछात्रों का स्वागत करते हुए अपने महाविद्यालय के कार्यक्रमों में सक्रिय दिलचस्पी की अपील की । इस अवसर पर कार्यक्रम संयोजक एवं एलुमनी एसोसिएशन के समन्वयक डॉ समीर कुमार पाठक ने बताया कि इस प्रदर्शनी का उद्देश्य युवाओं को स्वामी विवेकानंद के विचारों से जोड़ना है,उनके विचार चिरकाल तक सबके लिए प्रासंगिक है,जो हम साहित्य के माध्यम से ही जान सकते हैं। इस अवसर पर उप-प्राचार्य , प्रोफेसर सत्यगोपाल जी, डॉ सतीश कुमार सिंह, डॉ मुकेश कुमार सिंह, डॉ राकेश कुमार द्विवेदी तथा डॉ अनूप कुमार मिश्रा ने अपना अभिभाषण दिया। भाषण में चिंतन का मुख्य विषय वर्तमान परिदृश्य में तरूणों के मध्य युवा शक्ति के प्रेरणा पुरुष स्वामी विवेकानंद के विचारों का युवाओं के जीवन में ठीक-ठीक प्रतिफलन करना था। इस मौके पर डॉ राकेश कुमार द्विवेदी ने अपने भाषण में कहा, “आज जो भारतीय युवा लक्ष्यविहीन हो रहा है और भौतिक सुख के पीछे भागते हुए मानसिक तनाव और थकान झेल रहा है उसके लिए स्वामी विवेकानंद द्वारा सुझाया ये आध्यात्मिक मार्ग बहुत कारगर है।” छात्रों को उद्बोधित करते हुए प्रो अनूप कुमार मिश्र ने कहा कि विवेकानन्द ने युवाओं को आध्यात्मिक संधान पर जाने की बात कही जिससे उन्हें सिर्फ अपने लक्ष्य पाने में आसानी ना हों बल्कि वे जीवन में महानतम लक्ष्य बना सकें। स्वामी जी ने साफ कहा कि जीवन बहुत छोटा है लेकिन आत्मा अजर-अमर है इसलिए अपने जीवन को एक बड़े लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति में लगा दो।” इस मौके पर डॉ मिश्रीलाल, डॉ पारुल जैन, डॉ कमालुद्दीन शेख,डॉ जियाउद्दीन,डॉ बंदना बालचंदनानी,डॉ अस्मिता तिवारी,डॉ संगीता जैन,डॉ विश्वमौली आदि उपस्थित रहे। इसके अतिरिक्त प्रदर्शनी में छात्र छात्राओं ने बड़ी संख्या में शिरकत की। महाविद्यालय के स्नातक,परास्नातक तथा शोधार्थी छात्र-छात्राओं ने अपनी उत्साहपूर्ण मौजूदगी से इस प्रदर्शनी को गुलज़ार रखा।अपने मनोनुकूल एवं जीवनोपयोगी पुस्तकों को खरीदने के लिए वे खासे उत्साह में दिखे।उन्होंने कहा की ये पुस्तकें उनके चारित्रिक उत्थान तथा अर्थपूर्ण जीवन जीने में बेहद सहायक होंगी।स्वामी विवेकानंद की लिखी ज्ञान योग पुस्तक विद्यार्थियों में खूब पसंद की जाती दिखी।गौरतलब है कि वर्तमान छात्रों के साथ-साथ कालेज के पुरा छात्रों ने भी इस कार्यक्रम में शरीक हो कर तथा अपनी-अपनी सम्मति देकर कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाया। महाविद्यालय के पूरा छात्रों में डॉ हबीबुल्लाह, डॉ अमित कुमार पांडे, श्री राकेश गौतम,श्री दयानंद वर्मा, गौरव तिवारी, गौरव सिंह, कुंदन शाह, डॉ राजेश कुमार झा, किसलय सिंह, श्री संतोष विश्वकर्मा, श्री उज्ज्वल सिंह ‘उमंग’ ,डॉ पूजा झा,डॉ साक्षी चौधरी, डॉ तरु सिंह तथा डॉ सत्यार्थ बाँधल के नाम विशेष रूप से उल्लेखनीय हैं।इस अवसर पर हिंदी विभाग की प्राध्यापिका डॉ अस्मिता तिवारी ने छात्रों को अपनी ओर से पुस्तकें भेंट की। छात्रों के साथ प्राध्यापकों ने भी बढ़-चढ़कर पुस्तकों की खरीदारी की विभिन्न विषयों पर स्वामी विवेकानंद और रामकृष्ण की पुस्तकों का अवलोकन किया। प्रदर्शनी का समापन शाम 05 बजे हुआ।
